Unpopular Opinion about Santana/Naya.
Please don’t get me wrong, I adore Santana and Naya.
But it’s getting to the point where, she’s turning into what Rachel/Lea was to the first two seasons - only EVEN more so. Not in drama or diva or bitchiness, whatever - but with SOLOS.
This season, Naya/Santana has gotten a solo nearly EVERY episode, and if not one or more songs centred entirely around her and another singer, or she just has a line in a song - she’s one of the best soloists in Glee, but it comes to a point where I sigh when I see that Santana has ANOTHER solo.
Give the other members of ND a chance, Brittany, Tina, Quinn, Will, Mike, Artie, even Finn hasn’t been recognized much this season.
I love Naya’s voice, but It’s become less of a treat and novelty to hear her sing, and more of an obligation - just like Lea.
Throughout the first couple of episodes of Glee, I loved Lea’s voice - but after a while, Rachel’s solos just got boring and repetetive, and I felt the need to skip her entire song, just because it was so… vanilla.
Glee needs to spice up who gets the songs, it’s becoming ridiculous.
